i assembled this little grouping of avian treasures from among my collections. none of these things go together, except i think that is a cardinal egg, and i know that’s a cardinal nest because of the strip of birch bark the mama always starts assembling with. finding little tiny treasures like these while i am out walking are so thrilling to me. little, unexpected rewards for paying attention.
