indic writing

i have been on the lookout for asemic writing in nature. throughout the day, i keep my eyes peeled for calligraphic squiggles and swirls. these goldenrod leaves look like an ancient script to me. out of curiosity i pulled my image into google image search to see what good thought it might look similar to. to my great and pleasant surprise, it returned with “indic writing”! i had to google indic, of course. i learned that it means: “relating to or denoting the group of Indo-European languages comprising Sanskrit and the modern Indian languages that are its descendants”. i was pretty pleased with my intuitive writing, harkening all the way back to sanskrit. perhaps in a prior life i was a young indian maiden…

    I’m so enjoying this asemic writing series! It’s somehow magical. The cattail leaf tips last week? They translated into ‘happy birthday’ instantaneously, upon first glance at the image. Who knows why. The brain is a strange and amazing thing. This image is pure delight!
