pine cone carpet

i was going for pure color and texture on this one. i intentionally chose pine cones all of a similar size and shape. i didn’t want any individual specimens to stand out and demand attention, i wanted a uniform carpet of texture and color. i didn’t intend to make something that looks like a seasonal welcome mat from walmart, but i have to admit is kind of looks like that. oh well, i still like it. and think i may turn it into wrapping paper for the holidays.
