pine cone wreath

jean-luc tells me these are squirrel nibbled pine cones

we have yet to see one of these elusive languedocien squirrels

in any case, i love these nibbled cones

and i like how the squirrels always leave the top few seed scales

    I find similar remnants when I walk in our woods. The squirrels here also leave neat piles of the scales at their feeding places. Our squirrels are not mysterious or shy – they are plump and sleek, and run right across our back porch and look in the window!
