fallen things

i have all my collections and specimens laid out right now as i prepare for an art show.  all the harvest-gold and coppery-bronze popped out at me today. so i put together this  late winter color study. it also happens that each item had either fallen to the ground or fallen over when i found it, which makes it a different kind of study as well.

assorted specimens from minnesota, california, and france

i know that nose

for almost every STILL blog photo i have published, there exists a companion photo in my archives of my dog ‘s crumpled nose sniffing out my specimen. that’s more than 400 photos of jack’s nose. i promise i won’t publish them all.
