i am gathering collections of striking nature artifacts for a holiday gift product i am prototyping. so I grabbed this vine on a recent walk to be part of the collection. it wasn’t until i got home that i noticed how the tendrils had wrapped themselves around the prairie grass stems. there is something so desperate about this that i had to document it.

the chorus frogs have started up in the cattails, and these red maple buds couldn’t wait any longer to burst open. everyone is feeling frisky these days. happy may day!
