this collage series was entirely inspired by the journal pages of north carolina based artist eva magill-oliver. i liked her vibrant use of color and her organic shapes that seem to insist on bursting from the edges of her journal pages. i took those two concepts as my only two design objectives, and then started painting and cutting candidate compositional elements. this was the result.
